Planning a Wedding Weekend in Omaha: Where to Stay, Eat, & Explore

Omaha, Nebraska is bound to surprise you with a pleasant weekend of enjoyment if you’re visiting for a wedding. Here are some things you could see, enjoy, and do!

Stay

If you’re visiting from out of town, you’ll need a place to stay!

Magnolia Hotel has beautiful historic charm, while the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel has a modern reimagining but still has historic roots with its original tile and marble staircase.

The Peregrine is a Nouveau Art Deco-style hotel with luxurious but playful designs.

Now, if historic charm and rich history don't particularly appeal to you, the Courtyard by Marriott will provide a comfortable and clean place to rest!

Explore

Omaha has a variety of fun places to visit and explore!

The Joslyn Art Museum provides a nice stroll through exhibits inside and out, while the Durham Museum offers insight into Omaha history as well as different featured exhibits throughout the year!

If you’re a coffee connoisseur, Omaha has a wide variety of awesome coffee shops!! Some that I recommend checking out are Zen Coffee, The Mill, Hardy Coffee, and Con Azucar! All have their own personal charm, but delicious coffee.

If you’re looking for more lively entertainment, check out a show at the Funny Bone or a College World Series baseball game in the summer!

Eat

After exploring Omaha, you’ll need to eat!

Visit Lula B’s for a breakfast/brunch spot with bottomless mimosas, or Flora Cafe for rustic and authentic Mexican food!

If you’re looking for a place to have a nice dinner, Clio is the perfect spot for you! Their delicious Greek cuisine and beautiful interior are my favorites! Another restaurant by Flagship that I’d recommend is Memoir! With a private room you can reserve, you can enjoy an intimate dinner of American cuisine and sushi with family and friends!

And to wrap up the night, make sure to hit up Ted and Wally's for a sweet treat. They specialize in homemade ultra-premium ice cream with a variety of delicious flavors!

Omaha is truly a hidden gem in the Midwest. It’s a historic city with rich heritage and natural beauty. Nebraska is a whole lot more than just cornfields. After a wedding with Omaha Event Group, enjoy a weekend in our beautiful city!
