We had the honor of sitting down with one of the top bands in Omaha for events, The Downtown Collective. An award-winning live band, servicing Nebraska and Midwest areas, known for their insatiable ability to keep everyone on the dance floor. Ether, co-founder, manager and musician in the band gave us all the details on what to consider when selecting entertainment for your event.

Planning an event begins with the idea of fun!  

We want to celebrate with our favorite people, we want to dance, and have fancy drinks, and decorate to perfection! Something often left as an after-thought is the details; your floorplans, vendor list, and even timeline.  

There are two timelines to consider when planning an event: long term timeline and day of timeline.  

Event Production has recently become synonymous with the term 'party-planning'. But to those skilled in the field the meaning is closer to the likeness of organizing, scheduling, and logistics. Yes, the idea of producing events does sound entertaining and fun (and it is!), but it is so much more. From pre-production meetings, onsite contacts, timelines, and day of execution any person planning an event should strongly consider a professional event production team.  

Passing milestones is something to be celebrated! Whether a birthday, a graduation, a wedding, staff appreciation event, or fundraising... a festive salute is in order. The first step in planning such an occasion might also be the most difficult; venue selection. With so much to consider such as guest count maximums, venue price, catering, beverage options and so much more, we took the liberty of rounding up some of Omaha’s best event spaces for any occasion to lighten your stressful load.  

Omaha Event Group is no longer operating at Omaha Palazzo. We will book no future events at that location. We are now working to re-home currently booked events. This was an abrupt turn of events. Without going into too much detail, the bottom line was that we no longer felt confident events could be executed to our standards in that building. We want to make it clear that all of our couples will be placed in a venue that they are happy with. They will not lose their deposit money, nor will they be charged more for moving their event to a different venue.

Her son, Seamus, needs heart surgery. Nova Productions and Omaha Event Group would like to host a benefit for his family to help pay for medical costs and celebrate a successful surgery!
