Wedding Decor On A Budget: Where To Splurge And Where To Save
Planning the wedding of your dreams involves many elements—budget being a big one. Here are a few things worth splurging on , and some areas where you can save.

FLOWERS
Wedding flowers are expensive! But a beautiful floral arrangement completely lifts up an event. Instead of tall and large floral arrangements at every table, you could pick a smaller arrangement or even try bud vases! I would heavily encourage you to splurge on your bridal bouquet, and save on your bridesmaid bouquets. They can have simpler or smaller arrangements and still be beautiful! You could also try artificial flowers for some floral decor around your venue. We have beautiful faux hanging wisteria above our piano at the Omaha Garden Room. Arrangements like these lift the beauty of your venue!

DECOR
A wedding is a stage and the bride and groom are the directors (but we all know which side of the scale weighs more). That’s why every factor matters. From table runners to florals to pretty folded napkins. Consider all of your options and find ways to make your day more elegant. I personally love the look of taper candles on metal or crystal candle holders! I’ve made an effort to find a lot of my decor second-hand and that has easily saved us of hundreds of dollars. It’s all about finding beauty in the details without breaking the bank.

WEDDING FAVORS
Something that has really gone out of style are wedding favors. But to be completely honest, I love cute little wedding favors! I’ll pass on the little honey jars because I think they’re far too cute to eat. But sign me up for some personalized M&M’s or a shot glass and I’m there. When contemplating wedding favors or not, maybe opt for favors that will be useful to your guests—something your guests will actually want to keep. PHOTO SPOTS
Lots of people like hiring a photo booth company for their weddings. If you’re looking to save, a simple photo spot can go a long way. Whether that be a minimalist floral wall or a mirror personalized with their names, I love having a simple spot to take pictures. Our Omaha Leo Ballroom is incredibly beautiful with it’s vintage charm that you don’t even need a photo spot. Here, every corner is photo-ready!
